Kyle Rittenhouse: Truth in Innocence

By Jim Fotis, President of The League for Sportsmen, Law Enforcement and Defense

The League issued the following statement in response to today’s verdict in the Kyle Rittenhouse trial: “Today is a great day for Kyle Rittenhouse and his family ‘Not Guilty of All Charges’, said James Fotis, President/CEO of The League for Sportsmen, Law Enforcement and Defense”! It is also a great day for the American justice system which showed it still works, despite an unrelenting pressure campaign by the establishment media and leftist politicians hellbent on punishing Rittenhouse for defending himself from a mob.” Today  is a day we should all be proud of because justice was served and truth and justice have been revived in America.”

Today’s verdict was also a victory for the Second Amendment and the inalienable right of self-defense. The prosecutors in this case, and much of the media, would have you believe that you have no right to defend yourself with a firearm, that you just have to take a beating, even if it costs you your life. A jury of Rittenhouse’s peers disagreed and acquitted him of all charges. Make no mistake, this trial was about your right to self-defense as much as Kyle’s. They want you defenseless against the mob.

Kyle Rittenhouse is a hero, not because of the occurrence leading up to his trial, but for standing up for his rights, fighting to keep his freedom, believing in his innocence, and bringing back faith in our justice system.
